Fabrication Projects in the UK

In large engineering and fabrication companies, it is often difficult to show examples of their work due to client confidentiality. Another issue is that sometimes a large and essential piece of steel is not always exciting to look at even though it is necessary for a construction project.

At Blake Group in Edinburgh, we have created a Fabrication Case Studies section on our website where we highlight some of the projects that we have been involved in.  We hope this gives our potential clients an idea of our engineering and fabrication capabilities.

Our case studies are split by department:

  • The Metal Centre
  • Steel Fabrications
  • Storage Tanks

The Metal Centre tends to deal with smaller projects for private individuals and local tradesmen. Whereas, the fabrications division works on large commercial projects for the construction industry and housebuilders. Our storage tanks department designs and manufactures all types of high quality steel storage tanks for the storage of all types of liquid from water to oil tanks.

Caterpillar – Fuel Tanks

Blake Group has been supplying Caterpillar with steel storage tanks since 1998.

 City of Glasgow College Fabrications

Working closely with the main contractor Sir Robert McAlpine, Blake Group supported the construction of the new City of Glasgow College Riverside Campus with various steelworks. From balustrades and railings to roofing protection, the team ensured on-time on-budget delivery of the key architectural steel features.

St. Albert Chapel

Although the Metal Centre is known for smaller jobs than the Fabrications Division, it can also complete very specialised jobs such as these corten steel columns in St Albert Chapel in Edinburgh.

No matter the size of your project, large or small, please get in touch to find out more about how we can help you.
