Another issue is that sometimes a large and essential piece of steel is not always exciting to look at even though it is necessary for a construction project. At fabrication company Blake Group, the majority of our work is designing and manufacturing steel storage tanks for oil and other liquids, and fabricating structural steel or balconies and staircases for the construction industry.  We don't often get to be involved in art projects but when we do we love it! We don't design the sculptures and art installations ourselves but work with talented artists, designers and sculptors to produce the steel pieces they need for their artworks.  Rocca Gutteridge Sculpture We supported Rocca with her project for a deaf and blind school.  She was creating a physical interactive touch and sound sculpture.    Keith McCarter Sculpture The Keith McCarter “Aspiration” sculpture is a tall needle-shaped iconic landmark marking the gateway to Strathclyde Business Centre.   After 82 years in Leith, the Blake Group and The Metal Centre have relocated to much larger and better premises near Edinburgh airport.  They will offer the same great engineering and steel fabrications for customers new and old, however, their new premises will be much better for their workforce.
